Well … I’m sure the templates will look fine once I get access to them.
The problem is that you advertise one thing and deliver another….
You promised me “Pay and download instantly within minutes.”
Well this is just not *true* … I’ve been waiting over 2 days and still don’t have any access to my templates. I’ve received automated responses (seemed automated since it was word for word the same thing) to every email I have sent.
I don’t understand why my account is not activated despite the fact that paypal has told me the transaction has completed.
I would like a personal response to my emails NOT some copy pasted email stating that you are “terribly sorry” even the second time I email you.
I needed to get access soon because I have a project needed to be done ASAP, I emailed you asking to grant me access or give me an exception since I *have* paid it just hasn’t cleared or whatever … all I get is a automated email saying “sorry”.
Please don’t guarantee something or advertise something unless you at least standby and deliver when someone really needs to have something “within minutes”Hung Dinh FriendHung Dinh

July 10, 2008 at 9:14 am #258963Hi saliksyed,
I think the reply (ticket ID SDV-729869) is satisfied and of cause it is not automated.
Dear Salik,
Thank you for contacting JoomlArt.
We have seen that your payment ID#72M30326SL034921Y is currently marked unclear by Paypal. Your membership will be automatically activated upon receipt of notification from Paypal that the fund is cleared.
We highly appreciate your patience and are terribly sorry for any inconvenience that may cause to you.
Sincerely,
An NguyenJoomlArt Customer Service

July 10, 2008 at 9:27 am #258969However, it seems that you are hurry to the download. However it is not true that the above email are automated responses and you do not understand that personal reply
I can go ahead to activate the account for you but we need to agree that the payment is not completed.

This email confirms that you have received a Pending eCheck Payment for $49,00 USD from Salik Syed (youremail@……edu).
This eCheck Payment will remain “Uncleared” until the funds have cleared from the sender’s account, which usually takes 4 business days. If you are shipping an item, please do not ship your item until the funds have cleared into your PayPal account. You will be notified by email when the funds have cleared into your PayPal balance.

July 10, 2008 at 6:06 pm #259056Thank You, This is all I need. The payment is entirely paypals fault, so I guess I will agree that it is not JoomlaArts fault or problem. I did not know that I payed with Echeck… I put in my credit card number.
So yes … the payment was not received by you yet thus the account was disabled.
However because of the guarantee on the front page, I would highly appreciate if you would still activate the account because I am in a hurry. Thank you for your response.

You really can’t expect them to give you access before your payment is cleared!
I’m not saying you would…but what would stop you downloading a few templates then cancelling your payment?
July 10, 2008 at 10:25 pm #259098well actually I can expect them to,
because a statement is made on the site frontpage that I can download “in minutes” I have every right to believe that it will be fulfilled. If they offer a payment method that takes 6 days they should either
A) not state that the download will be available in minutes
B) not offer that payment type
C) Offer the payment type but warn customers clearly before accepting it.
They did none of the above so I expect to have the account activated.bigrk Friendbigrk

This would not be a good way of looking at the initial part of a new members membership. Especially when they can get any of the templates at many of the wares sites. Anyone could do as you suggest, download and cancel.

I came here initially with the impression that you might yet again be another victim of Joomlart, but the tone of your voice did not sit well with my sentiment. Had you been more humble and accepted your own role in the mixup, I might have rooted for you.
Let me state first that most of my transactions are done over the phone or through the internet — either electronic checks, debit card or credit cards. I hardly ever manually send checks now.
I have my disagreements with Joomlart on a number of issues, but in this case, I think your charges are misplaced.
Your dispute should be with PayPal — not Joomlart.
Do not expect a company, here, Joomlart, to accept your word that you actually paid, if the third party here — PayPal — does not pay Joomlart.
You claim you are in a rush, whose fault is that? Why did you not plan ahead of time?
And to expect Joomlart to accommodate you — without knowing who you are borders on arrogance.
@saliksyed 65705 wrote:
well actually I can expect them to,

Wow, really? This is the attitude I was talking about.I am a long standing client of Charles Schwab, for years and years now. Once there was a mixup, I cleared a transfer for cash from one of my accounts with them to another, I had outstanding checks that I expected, anyway, in the sequence of events, the checks arrived before my cash cleared. I had to pay all the extra charges, not too happy about it but I did not make Charles Schwab the devil.
I do not expect a company to bend to my rules, because I say so. In your case, if you bring this to litigation based on the information you provided, you will lose. That is how much legal ground you stand on. From the point of view of humility, you would have alienated many of the jurors by your demeanor here.
And that is true with all my transactions, until my account is debited electronically, I do not expect them to give me preferential treatment.

after the money is deposited and cleared in Joomlart’s account. Unless you have proof that Joomlart has already received the money, and yet not granted you the privilege, then you have no foundation on this false accusation. You should be more thankful to Hung for even considering to grant your wish — instead, you come here with an attitude.
I am sure Hung is doing it to prevent too much bad publicity because it could affect their reputation, but you have to plan ahead.
I am a procrastinator myself but I accept the consequences of this weakness in character.

July 12, 2008 at 9:08 pm #259458Wow what a long response, I agree with many of your points. I did not have a very good tone … I apologize for that … it’s because I mostly wrote this after many hours of trying to figure out why I could not download. Every other online service I have used you just put in your credit card and boom you get a “your order has been processed and will ship soon” email within minutes.
“after the money is deposited and cleared in Joomlart’s account. Unless you have proof that Joomlart has already received the money, and yet not granted you the privilege, then you have no foundation on this false accusation.”
I disagree on your final point… when a customer is told they can receive a product in “minutes” on the internet it implies that start to finish it will take minutes to get to the point of “downloading”
Instead they should write “fill out our form, wait 6 days for your payment to clear, then download within minutes”
I apologize to Huang for my tone, and while he did say he would activate my account early… He did not, after the payment cleared I got my templates, despite several PMs.
This isn’t a court of law and yes my litigation will obviously not hold… but it isn’t about that, its about running a business … when you make a guarantee fulfill it … or else the customer *will* get *****

July 12, 2008 at 9:50 pm #259461How about, let’s just agree that we will disagree on this? I have no desire to persuade you to see my view as a spectator of a spectacle.
If this issue gets you peeved… hmmmm….
“welcome to the world of Joomlart”:)
May your journey turn out well… I wish you all the luck you need.
