This is the 4th template I have attempted using with J! 1.5. Have tried Wistery, Megeia, and Sargas. All said they were “compatible” with 1.5. But none worked.

Last one is Larix.
Info says fully supports 1.5. Tried installing and got this message: (same with Sargas)

# Your Extension appears to be written for an older version of Joomla!. You must enable the System – Legacy Plugin in the Plugin Manager if you wish to complete this task.

Turned on Legacy and it installed with success; however, when I tried assigning template as default it would not load. No errors.

Please advise and let me know what I’m doing wrong with the installation process.

–Update—

Re-installed J!1.5 and templates installed fine and loading now.

Out of the 4 only Mageia loaded and worked where I can customize.

At least you got it working, make sure you also checkout Purity which is specifically designed for J!15
