    templatesja_onepagehtmlmod_jaquickcontactdefault.php

    “find text placeholder for username, in line 31, change its value.”

    Can someone please give more detailed instructions on how to change ‘User name’ to ‘Name’ in the Quick Contact form?

    I am not familiar with PHP and I can’t waste any more time trying to figure it out. And I can’t update the whole template because I’ve made too many changes already.

    All placeholder on JA Quickcontact Module are defined here, see the screenshot

    Thank you for posting, but that really doesn’t resolve the problem.

    I have the previous OnePage template install with the recognised bug, and I can’t update the template because I have had to edit it like a thousand times to fix other issues, so I just need instructions on precisely which code to change and how in order to permanently change ‘User Name’ to ‘Name’ in the quick contact form.

    I cannot do it through Joomla, that avenue is closed (indeed, in the Joomla backend, I have the word “Name” in the right section still, and it is doing nothing).

    I just need the following instructions explained more for someone who doesn’t understand this coding language:

    templatesja_onepagehtmlmod_jaquickcontactdefault.php

    “find text placeholder for username, in line 31, change its value.”

    You can try to apply my following solution on this

    1) Change it from back-end JA Quick Contact Module

    2) It shows on front-end

    Remember to clear cache from Admin area

    If I’m missing to understand about your request, please send me the screenshot for further investigation

    1. Filled as per your example.

    2. Cache empty for admin and site (AND browser).

    3. End result = no change.

    That would be great, thanks.

    Cheers.

    Apologies for this late response, because i needed time to check the problem on your site. This is a bug when you select ajax tempate of JA QuickContact Module

    I have fixed it in our product and will release a new version soon, for now you can apply my fixes to your site by

    + Download and extract my attached file
    + Copy it into templates/ja_onepagehtml/mod_jaquickcontact/ajax_layout.php

    Let me know the result

    Thank you!! That solved the ‘Name’ issue.

    I do still look forward to the new Quick Contact version, however, as this fix has made it so that I am unable to edit the module in the backend. The following error occurs:

    <blockquote>Error
    Check-out failed with the following error: The user checking out does not match the user who checked out the item.

    You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#93).</blockquote>

    For now it’s fine though. So – thanks again!

    If you still get this problem

    <blockquote>
    Error
    Check-out failed with the following error: The user checking out does not match the user who checked out the item.

    You are not permitted to use that link to directly access that page (#93).
    </blockquote>

    You can try this way, you edit “JA Quick Contact” module, see the screenshot
