Does anyone know if the email address test@testsite.com is generated by JoomShopping during Paypal Sandbox checkout. I spoke to Paypal and they say it is.

I don’t see this email in any of the Jshop config screens, so I’m questioning if true?

I’d have thought that any interaction with Paypal is going to come from JShopping. I’ve never seen the email address ‘test@testsite.com’ in any of my (many) installs.

BUT I do often see ‘test@testing.com’ – do you mean that address (or maybe they upgrade the email after 3.5? 😀 )?

One comes from here – administrator/index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=payments&task=edit&payment_id=3 (Paypal – config) and the other comes from administrator/index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=config&task=general

I know that they have been some problems with paypal sandbox and experienced them myself. Use a live instance and I bet it works properly!

    Hi Swissa,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, you’re correct. The email is test@testing.com. I was told I need to replace this email with the paypal sandbox account email to be able to make a cc payment without using, or creating, a paypal account (currently these are the only two options in sandbox environment). I’d like to get this working in the sandbox environment before going live.

I’ll take a look at the files you mention and see if the email is listed in them, and try changing to the paypal email. I’ll just need to change the email back (or maybe change to the final live paypal email address) when I go live.

Can the test@testing.com address be changed, and if so, where? The code you show in your previous reply doesn’t include the test address (at least that I see).

Now I see it! Boy is that easy! That little config tab was sneaky! Thanks much for the quick reply!

Glad you got it! Sometimes the config is missing.

    /administrator/index.php?option=com_jshopping&controller=config&task=general

Make sure you turn off the logfile after testing otherwise you leave live data on the site. 😉
