Who gave me 9k points? mfcphil (a moderator as you know) gave me the points after I spent a load of time working directly on his site. How is that weird? And I didn’t do it for the points, that was just a kind gesture by mfcphil. I did it because he helped me and because I could see his predicament and a way out.

The other 9.5k points I have got I earned by helping and I will redeem those soon. I would like to stick around here and learn from people like Scotty. Apart from the templates I use, the points system is allowing me to do just that and hopefully this will continue.

I am a firm believer in the barter system.

With the points I have earned here I was ably to use another template (as I had reached my limit as a personal user) and build windwise.net . Now for that I don’t get paid cash either but I do get free tuition (that I would have normally paid for) and also a new wetsuit (the guy who’s site it is is sponsored by a wetsuit company so it doesn’t cost him). As such I get what I want, he improves his business and less money goes to the theiving git Gordon Brown (our Prime Minister for those of you who might not know who he is) in taxes. Everyone is a winner.

Thank you for the congratulations everyone, having a great day im actually on holidays lol, but hey im a hardcore IT person so bringing a laptop lol.

But the kindfull person that i am i will share my birthday bonus with you all!

Mihirc i would not wory about the amount of thank you’s in my case i think around 20% of the people have said thank you maybe even less. Same with the donations people dont do it for the credits they do it to learn or just to help others (most anyways). After you helped someone with a personal problem (besides JA template problem) some users want to show their appriciation with a donation.

I for example had a donation from questbg because i helped him and spend a couple hours on figuring out what was going wrong with his site. If he would offered me money i would have declined it as i wasnt helping him to get a profit out of it. And it helps if you are helping someone you know spends time in helping others too like questbg or phil (i also had some contact with him with his joomla 1.5 site)

Anyways enjoy the credits peeps!

No need to leave the topic. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Personally I feel that JA have provided the ‘donate’ function for people to use and it’s up to individuals how they use it. If Phil wants to give Phil 6,000 credits then that’s up to Phil :confused:

Mihir I know you are handy with PHP so don’t be surprised if I call on you some day to give me a dig out and offer credits in return.
