May 11, 2008 at 4:32 am #248597unixboymd, YOU ROCK!!!
May 11, 2008 at 9:29 am #248615@abdul 52337 wrote:
To all the members who keep repeating “We paid for two” like a broken record, how many templates do you need to make 1 to 3 sites?
Folks, times have changed and as templates became more and more sophisticated the old rule has to be changed. Look at the new Teline, and how long do you think it will take to make something like that? Other clubs are producing a single template which can produce infinite number of sites.
Give this guys a break. At least let them enjoy few days.

When you are doing business my friend you never go to holidays leaving your customers abandon with no product! Have you ever heard about customer satisfaction? Do you know how important and crucial this is for the success of a business?
If we were talking about a free – open source product then I could agree with you but not in this case.
They promised two templates per month one on the 1st and one the 16th of each month. Not even we get these templates with quite long delays some times but we also get repeated templates with few minor changes.
If times have changed and templates have become more sophisticated, a serious company should had predict it and make business accordingly. However, if this is a problem that affects the time-line of their projects they shall change their strategy from two to one template but in such a case I think that they will lose the most strategic of their advantages.
As a customer, I suggest them to work hard to deliver in time what they have promised. If not I predict that this will affect their product sales!Regards,

Nowhere, as stated in the FAQ:
Do you release templates on a regular basis?
Written by admin
Yes! 2 high-quality templates will be released every month. More importantly, existing templates will be updated along with the new version of Joomla. There will also be a revised version (Extra or Version II) of an outstanding template released if it is highly demanded.antoniu1 Friendantoniu1

May 11, 2008 at 10:53 am #248625Jee people,
There is another discussion where all these things have been discussed to the bore. Can’t you just let it go? It was reasonable to ask where the first template went, but now that this is corrected, isn’t everything fine?
I suggest to just let it go. š

Yes! 2 high-quality templates will be released every month. More importantly, existing templates will be updated along with the new version of Joomla. There will also be a revised version (Extra or Version II) of an outstanding template released if it is highly demanded. That is not true. It is stated here by Hung that on the 1st-5th and 15th-20th of each month the templates (BETA’s) are released. In the 10 days until the next release as much as possible bugs will be solved and new template will be designed/developed. But I think this is not the issue here. Issue here is that some poeple are whining and complaining because they think it is the responsability of JA to solve this poeple’s problems. It is an endless discussion.
I know JA do their best to keep the deadlines, but as always in software-development it is possible that sometimes the deadlines are not reached in time. But as far as I know JA-customers always had 2 templates a month. Of course not all these templates were for everybodies taste, but that is impossible to manage.
Here my recommendations for members.
- When you have no template on the 1st or 15th of the month: Give JA some credits. Try to be a little patient. It is so much better for your heart.
- When you have problems installing a template and get it working like you want. Do some investigation before complaining. For example: in case of JS-conflicts, Switch off all the modules/components and switch them on 1 at a time. In this case you will find out wich module/component is conflicting with the template.
- After you investigated/analysed the problems you have with the template, you can ask for help on the forum. When doing this, give a description of your problem as detailed as possible. Also describe your analyses/investigation method and results. It will make it so much easier for people to help you out.
- Keep your attitude and follow the forum-rules.

I totally disagree that JA is responsible for their templates conflicting with other modules/components. So you want JA to test their templates with thousands of extensions out there in the world and also release 2 templates a month?? It is not reasonable.

I’m with RT before JA and I believe that RT supports is much better than JA ,and I didn’t face that problems like JA , RT is the best JA is okay ,long time ago I asked for support from JA about their template (ja_senecio ) which has problem with it’s XHTMAL valid- and till today they didn’t fix this problem go and check the template , but with RT they will help you immediately , and Iām saying this from experience.TomC ModeratorTomC

Yet you keep coming back to JA – and, in fact, have downloaded nine JA products since 2006.When are people going to learn that dropping other Template Club names as some sort of “they do it better” rhetoric is just plain childish? Look, no one is twisting your arm to join one club or another . . . you made the choice to be a member of JoomlART. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions – but the fact of the matter is that the JA Team do their best to deliver quality JA Templates to it’s members on as regular a schedule as possible.
Honestly, the “bite the hand that feeds you” mentality amongst some of you is ridiculous.
Hey, here’s an idea . . . . If any of you who find such joy in constantly complaining think you can do better, then why not start your own template club and “show us how it’s done.”

May 12, 2008 at 12:35 am #248682how about we lock this topic. Doesn’t make sense to continue. Almost every 3rd topic on this forum has “arguing” like this one.
JA is different in several ways:
– still gives you 2 template for same or lower price than others who selling 1 template a month
– there are always some discounts (ie. Mothers day, Credits thta you earn on forum that you can redeem), deals
– has probably most updated Joomla template web site (check the other STATIC web sites. They change only picture of new template updated once a month, that is all)
– there is more…much more, but i don’t have time right now (Have to go to work)I admit I was more mad than satisfied, but I’m still here and I still use all JA templates for my web sites, and I re-new my subscription a few days ago. I still believe that they should have a good web designer in their team and include more “sliced” PSD in their templates, but I realized that I can do most of those staff by myself what is not big deal anyway.
Suggestion for JA team. We need you more on those template work and I suggest you to avoid topic like this one.
