    Hello,

    I can click the edit, after the article title, but after making the edit, the Save icon does not respond. The cancel icon does.

    Any idea what is causing the problem?

    Cornelio

    Edit: Please read solution below. Thanks to Menalto.

    What kind of text editor you using? Basacly the “save” button is a javascript command.

    Frontend or backend?
    Joomla version?
    Quickstart package or not?

    Hi citron,

    No editor, directly from the browser when you are logged in.

    I was about to place this, but you beat me to it Menalto.

    I used Joomla 1.0x-Teline II QuickStart . I have not tested it yet in my Joomla 1.5x-Teline II QuickStart installations. I was referring to the Frontend, this time.

    I never noticed this before, just today because I always edited using the Backend. I do not think I had problems with this when I was using Joomla 1.0.12 – (original) JA Teline QuickStart.

    Thanks to both for responding.

    Editor – XStandard Lite
    Editor – JCE 1.5.0

    Thanks citron,

    Just the generic default that comes with the Joomla 1.0x- Teline QuickStart kit for the Front End.

    In the backend, I think it is either the TinyMCE 2.0 or XStandard Lite which ever is the default in the Joomla 1.0x- Teline QuickStart kit. The back end has not presented any problem.

    I did not encounter this in the original Teline, but I have not upgraded my Teline beyong Joomla 1.0.12.

    Let me share what Menalto suggested in private:

    Try to add this:

    <?php if ( $my->id ) { initEditor(); } ?>

    In the index.php file of the template right above the closing head tag:

    </head>

    And let me know if it works then?
    Also check if that code is in the template before you add it.</blockquote>

    I tried it and it worked beautifully. Thanks Menalto.

    You can say that again. He has helped me quite a bit, here in the forum, as well as in PMs.
