You are kidding, aren’t you Phil? Yes, you could be somewhat wiped out.
Good to see you again, my friend!

I am also an anti-godaddy person. Not only of their proprietary antics… but also of their very UNCOOL (evil… let’s just call it what it is) ethics with their domains. IF you change ANYTHING in the domain settings … like something as benign as administrative contact records… it will LOCK the domain for 90 days WITHOUT LETTING YOU KNOW so it cannot be transferred.

is it possible to have demo “quickstart” installed after regular install of magento is installed?
what i would like is the demo files exactly how i see the demo.
i had to install original magento instead of the quickstart, for some reason the quickstart would give me 504 error.

The [Magento] quickstart installation package/process installs Magento for you – so you do not/should not have Magento pre-installed prior to performing the quickstart installation for the same site.

    hi TomC,
The problem is for some reason when installing on my host on the confiuration screen of the magento install it gives me a 504 time out error, and i can’t seem to get passed that screen.

but when i use the hosts softaculous installer it installs magento fine, but this is the magento default install, and not the joomla quickstart package.

do you know a way of installing the quickstart with this error?

    hi dongagOn,

if you have an existing magento store and you are wanting to install a Jm magento theme you can follow the theme userguide to install the theme and the extensions including one by one, doing that way you can still keep your old data from the existing site while getting your site alike the demo 🙂
