Hi,
I tried in local to customize the template style by using use theme magic.
But i can view my customizations (eg. background color, module colors, .. ) only in preview mode.
Nothing happen by saving theme settings.
On the top of theme magic first page it appear the following error:variable @BaseLineHeight is undefined
in megamenu-responsive.less on line 14, column 17:13
.mega-inner {
14
padding: @BaseLineHeight / 2) @BaseLineHeight;
15
}Maybe it could be related.
Any idea to fix it?
thank you.

February 9, 2013 at 9:33 pm #482975I also find that theme magic doesnt save any settings.
clicking ‘Save’ does nothing. No form is posted, or no ajax call made
Whatever is entered just disappears (…doh maybe thats why its called “Magic” 😀 )This is using Mitius 1.0.0.b on J2.5.8 on localhost dev server
same problem using FF or Opera in Fedora
I dont see any on page errors
no errors shown in js console
no errors in php logs
all caching is off everywhere, php error reporting is turned up fulltfosnom Friendtfosnom

February 11, 2013 at 3:41 am #483017Might be the template is a Beta version and needs work given the T3V3 isn’t a stable release but a RC1 version? that is you can’t call a template running on a non stable framework, a stable release, IMO?

I posted in this thread in support of the op – I dont know why its in the solved thread since clearly the the template has issues
theres a bug (or bugs)
its brokenand so maybe I feel like this about it:
<blockquote> it would be niceto get a template that is NOT a beta release for a change and works as it should outta the box</blockquote>

February 12, 2013 at 4:16 am #483135Hi,
@tfosnom, thank you, it is correct that JA Mitius is still in Beta and does not have Theme Magic ready yet.
Each template will have their own style and there will be some parameters that are changeable.
@knulpPlease open tpl_t3_blanklessmegamenu-responsive.less and add
// VARIABLES & MIXINS
// ------------------
@import "vars.less"; // Include Variables and Mixins
to the top of file.For the current Beta version, it does not have problem about changing and saving a new theme by using Theme Magic.
@bule, please follow these steps to see if you can create a new theme with Theme Magic or not.
1. Open default template style on backend.
2. Press Theme Magic button to go to theme magic mode
3. Change some parameter ( as I said above, not all parameters will show the effect in preview screen, you just need to change several params )
4. Press Preview to see it change or not. If not, repeat step 3 to find another param.
5. Save the theme, you are modify Default theme, you should use Save Theme As option because the Default theme can not be overwrite.
6. Assign new theme to some template style to see it work or not.Please get back to me and try to provide some more detail information if you have any problem.
We will try to solve the problem and improve the T3 Framework.Thanks and Regards

February 14, 2013 at 1:16 pm #483430Hi
I signed up to Joomlart due to this template looking like it was ideal for a current job, and was a bit peeved to find things weren’t working as I thought they should including the alert as noted in the title of this post. Is in normal practice here to release beta versions without marking them as such, and how long will it be until these issues are fixed.Not a good introduction to Joomlart I’m afraid.

February 14, 2013 at 1:32 pm #483433Feb is an unusual month for JA as the team have an annual holiday (The Lunar Festival) which is a big thing in their neck of the woods.
Having said that JA do release templates in Beta stage but usually the final release is only a few days later. JA are always honest about this. In part it is the extensive user base that helps testing which results in final templates that in my experience are some of the most bug free and reliable out there.
As I said, in the case of Mitius the delays are down to the annual holiday. I am sure that once the stable version is released very soon you will be more than happy.
If you have eny concerns or problems feel free to ask. And welcome to JA.

February 14, 2013 at 1:44 pm #483436Thanks Phill
As a ‘newbie’ it would have been helpful if this methodolgy was made more obvious when looking at the info for a newly released theme.
As T3 was a new framework for me it took a bit of frustration before deciding that it was something wrong with the template and not me before resorting to the forums!
Hopefully it wont be long in the fixing since it looks promising to fit my needs, so I’ll stay away from a few customisations just now and just generate appropriate dummy content in the meantime .1 user says Thank You to element12 for this useful post
