When I click on ThemeMagic in the admin, I receive a screen that says:
500 Unable to load format class.

Hi @schmodi
you are using joomla3.3 for the template
and the T3 fram work plugin is not up to date .
Please update the T3 plugin to the latest version.
It will solve your probelm

I tried the update in the template control panel and got this:

Error
Invalid extension update

Any ideas?

As i checked JA extension manager is not installed on your site
PLease Install JA Extension manager and update the T3 plugin via it .
