I recently signed up for a RocketTheme subscription and developed a theme for Gantry, however I have become sick and tired of RTs complete failure to answer any of my questions whatsoever.

So… I am looking for an alternative framework.

Here is a link to what I did on Gantry – the idea is to create a template with CSS2/3 stylers that allow the end user to use a GUI interface to add whatever CSS overrides they need. The version there is pretty simple, but I plan on making a version which will allow you to dynamically add as many stylers as you need – with (for example) a CSS3 border-image styler and a CSS2 “fallback” option.

    So my questions are therefore:

    1. What level of support does JA provide to non paid customers for the JAT3 framework?
    2. What controls are available for the template admin page?
    3. Ideally I need a color picker in addition to the standard HTML input boxes. An image picker would be nice too, as would a toggle like the one found in Gantry. If they are not available, would it be reasonably trivial to add jQuery UI or MooTools based controls to the admin page?

    4. I “obtained” a copy of the JA Erio template (Don’t worry, it’s just on a localhost server for review purposes only) and noticed that it includes a profiles menu that allows you to store and recall colour options etc. Is this mechanism part of the JAT3 framework or only present in the paid templates?
    5. I notice that the “Specified Pixel” option for template width says “Maximum of 980px” but setting it to 1200px seems to work OK.
    6. Is there really a limitation here? I notice that the side positions also get wider when you change this setting, I take it that it would be easy to add a new setting to change the width of the left and right positions?
