March 15, 2009 at 6:18 am #139147Hi,
First of all I am not a designer or a developer. This could be useful for a novice like me. Before you try this out make sure you ask an expert or take a backup.
I was wondering on how to change the background image of JA Opal.
What do I mean by this?
A template like JA Opal with the blue style normally looks like mainwrap-bg.jpg. The blue pattern looked awesome but I wanted to remove the boat from it. 4573
Open GIMP and download this image (/templates/ja_opal/images/blue/mainwrapbg.jpg). Cut the paste the thin line marked on mainwrap-gb.jpg image. Just the pattern from top to bottom. Now replicate this image and make sure you maintain image scale as 1440 x 814 pixels. It would look like mainwrapbg1.jpg. 4572
Rename the file and upload into the same location. My cut was fine but paste got a bit disturbed. However to see how it might look.
Refresh your front page. It should work now.
Take a look.
Finally JA is amazing. I am loving it.
Cheers!!!
