So sorry about it, but I dont think so, lots of members here are using the template and it works well as feedbacks. Thus, I think you should check your server, your internet line, your site extensions etc..
September 24, 2010 at 1:23 pm #356585I have also found this template to be extremely slow. I have serveral other Joomlart templates on other sites on the same server… that run quite quickly. I have cache set to on, as well as GZIP Page Compression. Should I see files in the cache directory: /var/www/vhosts/platypuswork.com/httpdocs/cache/ (I don’t) The url is: http://www.platypuswork.com (if that does not work…it will have been switched to http://www.crazychefs.com)

September 24, 2010 at 2:43 pm #356593I could only access http://www.crazychefs.com website, but it looks like that it is not done in Joomla. Can you please update me the exact link again.
Thanks

Site is now live at http://crazychefs.comOctober 1, 2010 at 8:26 pm #357380Sorry for the url mix up…but problem remains. In testing, site takes twice as long as other Joomlart templates on the same server, even though it has a smaller load than two of them. (test results below – crazychefs.com is the Droid template)
#
Domain name Size Load Time Average Speed per KB1 crazychefs.com 23.83 KB 4 seconds 0.17 seconds

3 sharontimlinrace.org 32.14 KB 1.59 seconds 0.05 seconds

October 1, 2010 at 8:42 pm #357381It may be that your local isp has not cached the site yet but the others are stored in cache. It could also be the routing of that particular domain. The yslow grade for your site is Grade C 71% which is very good compared to many sites out there. Even massive sites like http://www.bbc.co.uk get a grade D so you must be doing something right.
However if I run tracert crazychefs.com from the command line I see that there is a heafty delay on the route from one of the servers giving an average time of 153ms (or 0.153 seconds) on one of the jumps so that explains your longer loading time. Try it for yourself.
February 16, 2011 at 8:23 pm #377020Hi there. Did you have any luck speeding up the site? I’m at my wits end! My site is http://www.advancedtrimandkitchen.com

February 17, 2011 at 9:12 am #377120Dear jreinford,
You can try to enable caching as well as turn optimize css and opyimize js on,I hope that would help speed up your site.

I think I found that my “Cache” directory didn’t have write permissions. Check that cache is on, and that you have files in the “Cache” directory, including a “T3” sub-directory.
