December 22, 2012 at 9:17 pm #183355I have installed the quickstart on 3 different hosting packages I have and this template is so slow and half the time doesn’t even open. I hope it is something I am doing or can fix. I am using the demo content and have not added any extra feeds. It’s very hit or miss, either the site opens right up or it hangs for as long as it wants.
I am hoping there is something I am missing but at this point I feel I paid $49 for a brick. Which is really frustrating anymore, no one wants to spend money on something that can not be used in the real world.
Site runs great on your servers but not on any of my hosts, and I have found another site using it online and it’s like mine, slow as maple syrup on a freezing day.
I hope it’s me because this template has huge potential. If there is nothing that can be done then I feel I may have gotten taken for $50.
Any ideas, tips or tricks?

December 23, 2012 at 1:24 pm #477276I loaded your site and it took about 5 seconds from Argentina to load but that’s because I’m on a 1MB internet speed connection.
There has to be something wrong with your browser or something
My site loads in 1 second in the first world and about 5 seconds in the non-first world lol

December 23, 2012 at 9:39 pm #477319Sorry I figured it out around midnight last night my time. I was too tired to post. I had to turn off the Feedgator pseudo cron plugin. Once I turned that plugin off everything zipped right along. Just picked this up, it has great potential now I just need to learn my way around a bit better is all.
Thanks for the replies.
