    Hi

My ja-news thumbnails look very pixelly even when I am using a high quality image.

Is there a way to manage the quality of the thumbnail converter?

    thx

Currently there’s no resizing function implemented in JA News. You should modify the images to fit the size setting in your JA News module.

I suppose you could use JCE editor. When uploading images there is a resize and create thumbnail image function with it. Automatically creates a thumb and a big size image. It is really the best editor out there. I also suggest you put the cash into getting the second edition of it. Many more and better feature with it. 🙂

You can use free thumbnail creator software here http://www.faststone.org/FSResizerDetail.htm
Or using online thumbnail generator here: http://www.resize2mail.com/ or http://www.picresize.com/
    Hope it’s help. 😉

    thx for responses

I guess I don’t quite understand how ja-news works when selecting a thumbnail. I configure image dimensions in ja-news and it automatically changes the size of the photo from a content item

How do i: Get the ja-news front page to use a thumbnail that i have made

AND have the bigger version of the image in the content item when it is selected

    many thanks

    hi

I know how to make thumbnails

what I dont know how to do is get the image used in a content section to have its thumbnail used by the ja-news frontpage.

currently ja-news converts image from content section to the size specified in the ja-news config page – AND THESE lead to terrible quality images on the frontpage at least for me

    thx

    thx
