    Hello

It appears that my Thumbnail images are not displaying throughout the entire site including the online store and vm_slider on the homepage.

    http://danisaflowers.com

T%he strange thing is that I see the full image when I click on the image alt txt.

    see sample here:
    http://danisaflowers.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/8ffbce639602c9d43c1427ebe9af383d.jpg

Can anyone advise where I should even begin to look?

I can see the images (thumbnail) in the admin panel …
using Joomla 1.015 and VirtueMart 1.0.13a

    Many thanks!!

    Erik

I am not sure if this will help solve this problem, but when I went to your site and clicked on the thumbnail not the text this appeared.

    Screen Shot of the problem

I am not sure how to fix this because I have just started with virtue mart myself. I wish I had more experience with it to help solve your problem. It looks to me like there is a setting on the back-end that can fix it easily. I hope someone can lead you in the right direction now with the above screen shot! 🙂

    Hello

Still looking for help on the THumbnails not working in VM in this template.

I went to the VM board and tried several things that worked for othersm but DID NOT work for me…

    1) First I Changed admin permissions on specified folders:

modified the permissions for the files to 644. These files are:
    components/com_virtuemart/index.html
    components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php
    components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart_parser.php
    components/com_virtuemart/virtuemart.php

I looked into the shop_image folder and the products folder and both are set to 755 and not 777

Next I looked at the path for one of the images in the slider on my home page –

    url = http:// +
    danisaflowers.com/components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php?filename=fb45bfc49ba7f8350674d69c43e4bd30.jpg&newxsize=160&newysize=160&fileout=

    http://danisaflowers.com/components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php?filename=fb45bfc49ba7f8350674d69c43e4bd30.jpg&newxsize=160&newysize=160&fileout=

Not sure what this means, but hope that someone can confirm this is the right path being called…

    Help Greatly appreciated!

    Erik 🙂

    More info…

I tried to just create my own thumbnails and upload them rather then automatically resizing the full size image when uploading product images via the control panel for VM.

I was able to establish the thumbnail and full size image arevisible:.

    For example:
    http://danisaflowers.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/01e48a065e706b0121ebeab3ab53e1a8.jpg

    I created 160×160 thumbnail.

Here is the full size image 400×600 px image:

    http://danisaflowers.com/components/com_virtuemart/shop_image/product/01b4d5846a9e08c87a5923ad07c309c2.jpg

Would this mean that the path reference is incorrect? if so how can I check?

    Thanks again

okay — I was able to get the thumbails to show by turning off:

“Enable Dynamic Thumbnail Resizing? in the vm adminl panel: config:Site:Layout

So here is my new question ….

shouldn’t this work with “Enable Dynamic Thumbnail Resizing” ON ??

When I checked my server error logs I found this:

Mon Aug 25 19:49:39 2008] Premature end of script headers: /home/danisafl/public_html/components/com_virtuemart/show_image_in_imgtag.php
SoftException in Application.cpp:544: Directory “/home/danisafl/public_html/components” is writeable by group

Not sure what it means but I will make inquiry to my host and report my findings here.

    Thanks

    Erik
