May 26, 2010 at 7:14 am #344756Dear davidrabinov!
Pls access the configuration of the ja thumbnail plugin to re-configure the width and height of the thumbnail displaying on the Front Page Layout.
As our demo is 60px * 60 px
Good luckdavidrabinov Frienddavidrabinov

There is no such functionality.
The thumbnailing only works for a gallary mode.
I use thumbnailing like this.
add a large image in my article, on the frontpage ja-sidenews will then crop/thumbnail the image from the article and then show it on the fronpage.When you press readmore on the frontpage, then you can see the original large image.

June 2, 2010 at 2:36 am #345584Dear davidrabinov!
I think you have two problems with ja slideshow2 module
1) you put a small image into the content of article, this image is as a source using for rendering thumbnail, because this has small size and thumbnail rendered has larger size, so that you ‘ll see thumbnail having the black background. You should put a large image which has size greater than thumbnail ‘s size.
2) The conflict between ja thumbnail and ja slideshow2 module while rendered . i have fixed this issue but i have not updated the download package. and i get you this as following:
a) open the file modules/mod_jaslideshow2/tmpl/default_articles.php and and comment the followingcodes:
[PHP]
// $helper->parseImages( $item, $params );
// $list[$k] = $item;
[/PHP]b) open the file modules/mod_jaslideshow2/helper.php and find the following code:
[PHP]foreach( $data as $i => $row){[/PHP] and replace:
[PHP]
foreach( $data as $i => $row){
ModJASlideshow3::parseImages( &$row, $params );
[/PHP]Good luck
June 2, 2010 at 10:26 am #345685Sorry to post in this thread, but Im having some kind of issue with the thumbnails too.
In my website, http://www.latingamers.net the image in the article is overlaping the text. Ive tried almost everything. Changing the px of the thumbnail, desactivating, etc.Any suggestion?

June 3, 2010 at 6:46 am #345807Dear marcebarcelona!
1) The first is here, you ‘ll customize your module by my way mentioned in the thread #5 .
2) you re-configure the ja thumbnail plugin, you set width and height equal 60*60 for thumbnail rendering on the Front-Page Layout
Good luck

June 9, 2010 at 2:08 pm #346542WOW I want my site to look like yours.
I cant even see the image inside the article.
Only the small thumbnail 😀
http://www.latingamers.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=585:comunidad-argentina&catid=19:bloque-superiorIf I configured my site the same way you did, will it effect my jasidenews modules?
I mean having that configuration, will that effect thumbnailing features of other modules than slideshow2 module ?
