December 20, 2009 at 1:55 am #146976Hi.
I can’t figure out why the photos aren’t showing up in JA Content Slider in JA Seleni.
I have checked on the module parameters and the show image radio button is checked to yes.
The div size is 130
The width of image is set to 120
The instructions on the module say you need to add this line to the config php file:
var $absolute_path by ‘your absulute path’;
I think I added the absolute path, which I believe is just the website address: http://www.lehighcountynews.net/‘
But maybe I’m wrong about that.
I also don’t know if I have mootools v1.1. How would I figure that out?
Would either one of those affect the photos?
Thanks as always for you help.John Wesley Brett ModeratorJohn Wesley Brett

December 22, 2009 at 8:56 pm #327199Without access to your administrator area I can’t say for sure, but from what I can gather by clicking on the news items in the content slider…it would appear as there are no images in your articles.
That’s where the thumbnails are generated from. So without images in your articles…there are no thumbnails to display.
Have fun!

December 22, 2009 at 9:37 pm #327206Check again. Three of the articles in the content slider have photos.
Lehigh County Kicks off Construction of its first green building
Trexler Nature Preserve Opens to the Public
Lehigh County Officially Opens Courthouse Lobby
Do all the articles in the content slider have to have photos in order for this to work?John Wesley Brett ModeratorJohn Wesley Brett

December 22, 2009 at 9:52 pm #327210BTW…you’ve got a big conflict with the Facebook Connect module.
Can you disable it while we work on this issue? It’s spinning and spinning…but not loading…and bringing down the page with it.Thanks!

December 22, 2009 at 10:02 pm #327213Okay…that may have been an issue..or…if you look at the bottom of your
“Lehigh County Courthouse Officially Opens Lobby” article….ALL the way at the bottom…below the footer…you’ll see:“We’re having issues locating the IntenseDebate account for this blog. Please email our support team for assistance.”
These remote services like Facebook, Intense Debate, MySpace, DisQus all can wreak havoc…and this may be what is causing your pictures not to show. I’m still looking, though…but those things need looking into. Getting the Intense Debate working…and then see if that was what was affecting Facebook from loading on that same page.
Still looking.

December 22, 2009 at 10:08 pm #327214Here’s another quick fix for you…to get your image to center itself inside of the caption box (if you’re going to use a box) goto:
template.css – line 308
And make the area in red below read as follows:
.article-content img {
margin:0;
}

December 22, 2009 at 10:24 pm #327215Well I’m not seeing anything wrong with the articles and images themselves…’cept the Nature Preserve picture which is superSized…but that shouldn’t matter.
The strategy we should take is:
1> Get the Intense Debate and Facebook modules working correctly…in that order. Intense Debate works in a “shell” fashion so it has the potential of impacting everything if it’s not working right. Or…
2> Disable both Intense Debate and Facebook modules and let’s work just the slider module.
3> Make sure your JA Slider module’s Parameter for SHOW IMAGES is set to “Show” and the Module Class Suffix is set to _featureIf you want to work JUST the slider module…then disable, temporarily, all articles that do not include a picture and see if that makes a difference. Make sure you refresh your cache…or delete your TEMPORARY INTERNET FILES if working in IE8.
Gotta run to the gym and grab a bite.
Be back later.
Have fun!
John.
It would also be nice to get a screenshot of your module parameters.brunotedeschi Friendbrunotedeschi
