I have read some other posts about the text not wrapping and I have a similar issue at this site:
    http://www.shopwhittier.com

I took out the author and the date parameters for the three articles on the front page. The date feature is too big and makes fields wider so that the text will go outside of the body portion of the site. With the date and author parameters gone, everything fits.

What I would really like to do is make the date be really small, so instead of reading like this:
    “Thursday, 16 October 2008 16:36”

If it appeared like this it would be much better:
    “October 16 2008 or
    16 October 2008 or
    16 October 2008 16:36

How do I change these parameters globally?
That author/date/print/email stuff gets just too wide.

Yes, I did remove the date on the articles at the article manager level. I cannot figure out how to change the global properties or the time/date format for the entire site.

I got the site looking ok by taking the date off. But I just posted another article at http://www.shopwhittier.com and now the article wants to span the full width of the site and is not staying within the body of the site. What can I do to make this function properly?

Also can I get two more stories to show on the front page without having to click on “next”?

OK nevermind… my photo was too big and it screwed up everything. But I still wonder if I can get seven items to appear directly on the front page
