    Hi,

When I load my site (http://www.portaldogolfe.com) the title of the browser, IE and Firefox, is “welcome to the frontpage” and the small logo it is the joomla logo.

How can I change both things?

    Hi Meiros

OK. There are two issues here.

First of all, the small ‘logo’ in the browser is called a ‘favicon’. You need to create a new favicon (google how, it’s real easy) and replace the current favicon.ico file in your root directory with the new one.

Second is your ‘Welcome to the Front Page’. You should change this in your Global Config.

Open Global Configurations and change ‘Site Name’ to your whatever title you want.

Alternatively, edit the Magazine Menu and use Advanced Parameters to add a page title.

Any problems, just let me know!

In regards to the favicon location could you elaborate about how to find it.

they said it’s in public html/ favicon

    That’s correct, usually it’s in /html/ called favicon.ico

However, in my case, I also had one in /templates/ja_telline_ii/ which is the one I had to change before I got it to work.

Always worth checking in the root folder of the template.
    Cheers

    Hi!

I tried to change the favicon on my website. I replaced the favicon.ico (in Ja Rutile), and added the following HTMl in the index.php file:

    <link REL=”SHORTCUT ICON” HREF=”http://yoursitedotcom.here/favicon.ico”>

The strange thing is that the old Joomla logo still shows up in Firefox, even though I deleted it. Is it stored other places as well? In Safari the new icon appears. Any ideas?

    Thanks!
