is it possible to have other menu besides mainmenu displayed on top?

I got it working following way,if someone else also wants to know this, here is how I got it working

use text searching tool, I used grep on linux :
navigate under template root directory and search for text mainmenu
with grep its like this :
“grep -r mainmenu .”

replace all occurrences of mainmenu with any existing Joomla menu name , thats it. from that point I had desired menu displaying instead of mainmenu .

I only tested it with TransMenu did not test it with other menu system.
