    Hello to Joomlart Staff or whoever found the solution to this,

    I use Joomla 1.5.7-Teline II v1.6.

    I tried to modify the tags that I could potentially modify to provide “left margin” spacing — either as margin or padding — to “create white spacing” on the left side of a full article in the article page. However, I have not found the appropriate tag in the template.css.

    Other Experiments

    The default fixed width of the headeer, body, footer, etc. was set as 970px(?). Even if I changed the width of the Content to less than the default width for the rest, it still does not work.

    In both cases (tag or width modification), when the width of the site is reduced or below the default width, the left spacing placed in any of the modified tags “disappeared” — that is no left spacing in the article.

    I appreciate any help. Thanks.

    Give a link to your site with this problem?

    Thanks Menalto,

    Here is a link for a Sandbox, I am experimenting with:

    http://joomla.bayanihan-saranay.com/jte15x099/

    I examined several tags to change. One of them, if I change the left padding of this:

    <blockquote>
    #ja-content div.ja-innerpad
    {
    padding: 0 5px 0 0px;
    border: 1px solid #999999;
    } /* orig padding: 0 15px 0 0; changed added deleted */
    </blockquote>

    to this:

    <blockquote>
    #ja-content div.ja-innerpad
    {
    padding: 0 5px 0 10px;
    border: 1px solid #999999;
    } /* orig padding: 0 15px 0 0; changed added deleted */
    </blockquote>

    I am able to add the “left margin” but all pages — Home Page. Section, Category, . Article, and perhaps other pages that has the “#ja-content div.ja-innerpad“– will exhibit the left spacing.

    What I am looking for is a tag that will modify left spacing only of the Article page but not the left spacing of the pther pages. i.e., Home Page. Section, Category, . and perhaps others .

    Why is this important?

    If Teline II is used for literary sites, like display of poems, it will look very ugly a Poem — wih a very narrow width — does not have a wide left spacing:

    For example, this poem:

    The Great Lover by Rupert Brooke

    http://joomla.bayanihan-saranay.com/jte15x099/artist/art/160-the-great-lover.html

    Ideal layout for poems:

    Usually different poems have different widths. Thus, aside from the first letters in each line being aligned left, it would be ideal to have the entire poem itself is “centered” in the space allotted:

    The Song of Hiawatha: I. The Peace-Pipe by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
