I like the look of this template and am currently using it one one of our websites. I was getting concerned about an increased bounce rate and reduction in sales since putting this template live.

I ran it through the YSLOW firefox tool and it produces a low score of Grade E (A to F with F being worst).

Main issues are that it calls 7 javascripts and 9 stylesheets. One of these is for analytics stats.

Just wondering what others think about the possible issue of a template using all these scripts and numerous stylesheets. Could this increase the possibility of script clashes etc. which may either slow down or make a webpage fail?

Past experience tells me that so many scripts do cause potential issues in browsers which may explain some of the problems we have been getting. Naturally we have done a ton of internal testing and we do find that the page can sometimes ‘freeze’ up on loading.

We are continuing to test but wondered what others think?

    Hello bluesuit!

My personal idea, I think that’s the general problem of the CMS system same as Jooma (Example: Drupal, wordpress…).

As You known our sites were built from many extensions, they were developed from many companies or anywhere. Those extensions are not only install and use on your site, but also they use for so many other sites. Hence Each extension must to build with full functions and includes the necessary Libraries and the necessary files (if need) , to make sure that you need’nt install anything and the extension’ll work well after installed.

To reduce make HTTP request. You must to combine js and cs files by youself or you can use a extension to do this such us the ja compress plugin…..
