When I click on one of the options in the top menu bar, the entire top and side menu shift slightly to the left. Is there any way to avoid this?

Also, to the right of the last option in the top menu bar, a bit of the menu bar colour remains. I would like to get rid of this, as now it looks like there is another menu option that does not fit on the screen.

Please advise!
