I am new to this template. I did a QuickStart installation hoping that my site would be up and running in no time with the look and feel of the demos in Joomlart.

Using JA-Brisk Default and the Home layout, I cannot get the menus to display any articles. If I switch to Default layout – this works.

Can anybody give me a quick solution to this conundrum?

If you go to the layout tab when you have selected the Home Layout you will see that there are only module positions – no position for main body content.

If you select the default layout (either plain or content left/right) you will see there is an orange box halfway down called “component” This is where your text content will appear.

You need to considering using multiple layouts for your content and assigning it to various pages as I have described here: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/using-home-layout-problem/.

I REALLY appreciate your help. I have moved to “default” and alll seems to work as compared to the JA-Brisk demo, except:

I cannot get the position 20-23 work – that is, all that appears in the dark area. These would appear in the “home layout”. I am new at this so it may be something very simple. In other words, my About, Contact, etc. in the demo do not appear in the default layout now.

I guess the HOME module does not have an area for positions 20-23… So that is why it can’t work. So disregard my post. Thanks1
