OK – this is a very durr question, and I can imagine scotty’s eyes rolling around re. this quezzy….
I am halfway thru’ customizing the Uvite template on my local host. I had inserted a flipping book portfolio, and the front page is beginning to look quite nice. I needed to transfer the entire site to my laptop, so I copied the root file (papillon) and pasted it into the appropriate site folder where some of the other joomla sites are on the laptop. I then inserted the localhost/papillon url into firefox, and the Uvite template appeared, but with only one difference, the mod_jahighslide was showing the images that I’d inserted into the gallery, everything else appeared as the demo. Even the nav bar had reverted back to the original one.
Sooooo, what on earth has happened? How do you transfer the root file to another PC? All of the files are in situ re. the root (papillon) folder, including the new admin plug-in that scotty recommended (awesome, scotty!), and the flippingbook mod, but these do not seem to exist when looking at the front end or admin area.
Pleeeeeaaaase tell me, gently, what I should do?

Did you export/import your database?
Also, double-check the paths inside all of your configuration files including the config files for components and plugins.
