You might want to check Site -> Language Manager -> Site Languages. Make sure Polish is the language marked as published.
This will probably not help, though, if your problem is the prominent day and date display in the upper right of your front page. I had the same issue, but asked the support at my hosting service to fix it. It was done in two minutes.
