I don’t know if you did this, but you can install the Italian language pack for Joomla!

Then all will be in italian, date, “more” etc.

Thanks, that old post sorts the date problem, but I still remain with the MORE: in the JA-NEWS module… where can we change that?

(tip to developers: put stuff like this in the language folder… seems logical)
