A simple question: I do not understand why you template makers do not made a simple way to adjust the most simple things on a template: logo, “more detail” footer and modules. Why must I go and change cod on css and adjust translations on css and language files and more complicated things…?

PLEASE tell me where can I translate or adjust the “More detail” link on your template Ja Puresite. Thanks!

ALL template makers follow the rules set down by Joomla. Who use language files to make it EASIER for users to make multi-language sites by using language files. Think of the work you’d have to do if it was all hard coded!!

Since there are in excess of 6’500 languages you can hardly expect JA to supply all these language files. So the easy way is for you to copy the specific file from en-GB and then you can translate it to your own language – after all you know it better than JA.

In your case go and find en-GB.mod_jasidenews.ini, copy it to your language, rename it and then you can edit it. It’s not that difficult (once you get into the Joomla concept).

As for the logo, what could be easier than calling your logo the same name as the one supplied with the template and overwriting the original with the new file??

    Hope that helps you…

Go to root/language/en-GB/ and search for en-GB.mod_jasidenews.ini
Copy it, change it’s name to your-language
.mod_jasidenews.ini and place it in root/language/your-language/

As you can see in the image the place to change is about line 51

Wording like this would not be in a css file. css is for styling only.

That should do it for you…..

Update – sorry around line 79

Glad I could help on the translation.

I suggest you make a new post with this new problem. I’m not JA staff etc and as you have posted no url I can’t even start to offer advice. When you post give them the url to make it easier for them.

    Ciao
