In this case please make sure your editig the language file from root/language folder .
If still you are facing same problem .Kindly send me your site admin login details with FTP account details .
I will check and help you to fix this issue directly on your site .

I have similar problem the lenguaje swicth module is not showing, so lenguaje dosent works.

Taking advantage of the tip above. I found the problem.

Usually they say to make only the changes in the folder:
Templates / ja_mono / language

But as no change occurred I made the change in the folder:
Root / language

I copied the English file gb-GB.tpl_JA_mono.ini and gb-GB.tpl_JA_mono.sys.ini paste in the new pt-PT folder into the Portuguese language: pt-PT.tpl_JA_mono.ini and pt-PT.tpl_JA_mono.sys.ini
