You can look at the well documented index.php file to see how to change the menutype to Transmenu/Suckerfish. The guides are also available in the user guide at download section.
Do not forget to add submenus for parent menu items as well

OK. The problem was that it did not have the submenus (he believed that it took them directly of the categories of the sections).
