Hi there, I was wondering how to create a site with your templates that would allow the backround to be seen. For instance in your opal template where it says welcome to the front page, the article is on a pinkish background, can you make this transparent so you can see the boxer image artwork behind the writting? Between the sliding gallery and the search bar you can see the background, but there is a black border under the search and “you are here” areas. Would like the background to be there of the boxer. I hope this makes sense.

March 17, 2009 at 6:19 pm #296484You simply have to change or add (in template.css / body)
background: url(background.jpg.) no-repeat top left fixed;
or full hand
background: url(background.jpg)
background-attachment: fixed;the second one would secure that in IE the background would also be fixed as I know from experience that the short hand code above, did not show the bg at all anymore after having added fixed to it, but works for FF etc..

March 17, 2009 at 6:26 pm #296486BUT, when the lower part of the site is an additional picture file, like it is sometimes, you will also have to change those parts’ properties, but I have none of the templates running to quickly drop you where to change it, sorry!
Right now, with the changes above, you may see some irregularity when you try it in JA Uvite, in the lower region as mentioned.
You will see what I mean when it happens…;)
It always depends on if the bg is only 1 file or more, when more, additional changes need to be done.

March 17, 2009 at 7:07 pm #296503mttech;118383I was wondering how to create a site with your templates that would allow the backround to be seen.
This can be done with any template. It just requires a little editing of template.css to remove any backgrounds from div.module etc…
