Hi Tom, I am using the JA Teline IV template having problems changing the logo.

i have followed your instruction to the “T” in fact I replace the original logo using the same name/word logo.png. my new logo appears when I click on the sup links under say world, tech, entertainment…….etc but will not show when i click on home page or the links world, tech, entertainment itself, …it still shows JA Teline IV logo.

In the images folder “C:wampwwwpalavetemplatesja_teline_ivimages”there is no other JA Teline IV images in there so i wonder where that logo is coming from. please advice is there something else i need to change in the css? Urgent reply needed pls…many thanks

Hi Tom, I picked this up with Pavit yesterday but no Joy maybe we started all over the place now that i have an understanding can we statrfrom the top. i have a deadline and this template is doing my head in can i start all over explaining what i have done and what i need from the top please.

    Ok here goes…

1 i have been to C:wampwwwpalavetemplatesja_teline_ivimages and changed the logo kept the same name “logo” so no css needed change.
    2. i have been to C:wampwwwpalavetemplatesja_teline_ivcorethemes and replaced all the logos with mine again maintaining the name “logo” I believe there is 9 themes including the default rtl plus index

Now this is the problem when i save it all refresh when i go through the main themes on the site ie menu ..world, tech, entertainment, health, life, travel, artist, sports, some of them shows my logo others still displays the original ja_teline template logo how can that be?
The second problem is the logo keep bouncing all over the place.

    What i need to do.

What can i do to get my 350px by 114px instead of the original 222px my 114px logo to show on all these themes without it bouncing

    many thanks in advance.

Tfosnam thanks you but there is no such thing as your above directory in ja_teline_iv template.

There is C:wampwwwpalaveimagesresizedimagesstoriesdemo and that is where all the pictures are if thats what u meant.
when i follow you path C:wampwwwpalaveimagesstories in this folder i have icons reliant to the template that cannot be deleted .. either way i have refreshed all folders and cleared cache as recommended and I have same problems
    thanks you anyway.

can anyone help me or should i get my money back ? I am going back and forth with this simple logo change annoying and frustrating

i managed to get the logo showing up.

    1) Have you edited the template.css YES
    2) Have you added your logo to the image folders under corethemes? YES
    3) Are your logos showing yes
    4) so what is the problem?

they keep hovering and you only see half untill you put the mouse on it pops up and vanish again. it is exactely on all the themes.

how do i make it absolute or static…

    many thanks

the best way to replace the logo is follow the original size. Try to open the original logo file in photoshop and you will know that the logo has actually 2 same logo but with different color in one canvas. That’s mean, css use dynamic image position and change the logo when a mouse hovering the logo. What you need to do is create your own logo with 2 logo in one canvas. Just follow the original image size. If you want to make it ‘seems’ static, then make the 2 logos are same, otherwise you can put different logo/color.

Or you can choose the hard way by inspect the js/css and change it.

Keeping the same size logo as the template is not an option. My logo becomes small and not visible enough.

i would like to inspect the css and create a bit of room for a slightly bigger logo and i will like to have some help do that can you help ?

where in ths css do i go to do this what lines?

    Go into template.css and find this #ja-header .main { height: 115px; padding: 0; } on line 697.

Change the height, then clear the cache in Joomla.
