February 14, 2010 at 11:30 pm #148675Help me out here.
I have a few customers who want me to do websites for them but they need to be in Turkish.
I am in a jam here because I let them choose which templates they would like and they chose the two templates that seem to have problems with Turkish characters for some reason.
I succesfully installed alot of other joomlart templates and never had any problems with Turkish characters.I need this problem solved please.
I wrote about it in the Ja_Lime forum and hope to have help in there. I would love to get a magento membership if I can be sure this problem will be addressed promptly.
I have posted screenshots in JA_Lime forum.
Thank you

February 18, 2010 at 12:14 am #332987Well I don’t want to sound bitchy but I don’t want to get reffered to a ticket where I got helped to fix the problem myself. Why I had to give ftp info I don’t know since I don’t think no one even bothered to try and solve the problem, it’s alot easier if I try and fix it right? well no.
This is a PRE-SALES question.
My point is I want to renew a membership + get a Magento one too.
To do that I need to know that your Ja_Lime and JM_Topaz and JM_Seleni can work with special characters like Turkish after we install from quickstart and add Turkish language.
JA_Lime is sold as beeing able to have right to left features but can it show the characters correctly?
I know answering this thread properly actually means someone has to get his or hers hands dirty and fix the issue which seems to require alot of time but not doing so professionally will make you loose my respect and I will give up on you guys.
Heres hoping a courageous support member will solve this.
ps… you can try installing the quickstart yourselves locally with turkish characters it might be easier !
Thank you for your patience.

February 18, 2010 at 10:30 am #333030Hi metamar,
Please find the answers to your question as below:

To do that I need to know that your Ja_Lime and JM_Topaz and JM_Seleni can work with special characters like Turkish after we install from quickstart and add Turkish language.

JA Lime is applying T3 Framework and supports RTL language. You can see its demo site for more information. However, we have not tested it with all RTL languages, thus if in your case using Turkish language encounters any issues, please let us know and have appropriate access for further assistance.I am sorry that currently, JM Topaz and JM Seleni is not RTL supportive

February 18, 2010 at 11:57 am #333033So basically what you saying is: If those templates don’t work with special characters like Turkish then Joomlart won’t try and correct the problem?
I don’t want support! 🙁
I want to know if Joomlart can fix their templates so that Turkish and other languages will be compatible (Older templates are!)
There is no reason to get a membership for new templates if they are not compatible with special character languages.
I want to be able to download a template, install turkish language and relax. That’s the whole point.

February 18, 2010 at 4:30 pm #333057Hi there,
It seems my words fail to express my great pleasure to help you over all the problem you met while dealing with our templates.
So far, all our templates do not hack the core files of Joomla and respect the multi language support of this software. And your own experience with our other templates has met no such problem.
It is great if you could give us access to your site for inspection and find out the root to come up with solution. This shall help many others also.

February 18, 2010 at 5:20 pm #333065I know you love to do this!
I already gave all my info in 2 tickets.
Feel free to hack away at it..I also posted screeshots of the problems too.
I also continue to try and solve it myself but every advice offered I have tried with no success.
Can you use info from closed ticket or do I need to reopen one and regive the info?
It seems my words fail to express my great pleasure about you helping me out! 😀

February 18, 2010 at 5:37 pm #333068But I don’t own a Magento template for me to try to fix it!
That was my point. I want to be sure it will work before I buy.
Get the idea?
Give me access to Magento templates and I will attempt to solve the problem! 😎Anonymous ModeratorJA Developer

February 22, 2010 at 10:04 am #333385That’s because I gave up and uninstalled it.
As mentioned in the ticket, I want the templates updated with this problem solved.
I don’t want to fix mine, I want Joomla’s new templates to be compatible with special characters (like turkish)
In a perfect world I will download the templates, install it with Turkish language pack with no problem.
I will get new memberships when it is fixed.
I will buy my magento form other company because I need it before weeked so I can’t wait for Joomlart to fix those.Have a nice day.

February 22, 2010 at 10:20 am #333390It takes me about 30 seconds to install a template locally.
Installing the turkish language pack takes about 30 seconds too.You want me to install it on the net? Isn’t it easier for you to just fix it locally?
And even if you fix it on my server, will you then refix it locally to update the original templates? :confused:metamar Friendmetamar
