There are 2 Two Factor Authenticator plugins, which one do I use? Google Authenticator, YubiKey, or both?

It happened to me that I got two login screens after activation (of both), the first with three lines (name, password, secret key) and then another one. I passed the first screen but not the second. Fortunately I had a fresh backup before activating the Two Factor Authentication.

What went wrong?
