I edited the front page removing the block for videos, photo gallery and now I am left with a double pixel light where it was before. See image. Now I am new to Joomla and learning by experimenting – I removed the items in the contro lpanel but I was hte line break to be the same height as the others. Can someone advise how to do this? (I forgot to mark the image I uploaded but you will see the double height pixel border on the right side.)

The main content block on the left (see image) where the featured stories display, how can I switch this to display with just one article with a button to shift to the right (next article) within the same area?
