    well, I’ve got a “clean” for all practical purposes 1.7 COmmuinity+ QS install and just noticed while researching this, that the typography plugin does NOT come with community. Makes me wonder………….

    Here’s the correct code that gets generated by TYPO when in “code” view of JCE. This will work (with the changes to the typo.css file mentioned above). One problem is that if one switches back to visual view (wysiwyg editor), the empty spans get removed and therefore breaks the styled unordered list.

    <ul class=”ja-typo-list list-check”>
    <li><span class=”icon”> </span>This is a sample <strong>Check list</strong>.</li>
    <li><span class=”icon”> </span>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetuer rutrum dignissim et neque id. Interdum pharetra in a metus congue In Sed Pellentesque tincidunt pharetra.</li>
    <li><span class=”icon”> </span>This is a sample Checklist.</li>
    </ul>

    So once again I ask for answers to my 2 previous questions:
    1. should there be 2 typo.css files? (template and TYPO plugin?) – the template’s typo.css has !important declarations that break the styled unordered list.
    2. is there a way to tell JCE not to strip the chars so I can use it to enter the TYPO declarations

    if one of my teammates doesn’t beat me to it, I’ll give you solid answer in the morning after my brain is something other then mush.
    The answer to #2 is definitely yes! I THINK ( please don’t hold me to this i’m brain dead ) that “strip html”, “cleanup html” & / or “allow html” are the “keywords” in JCE. I’m almost positive this is in ‘group profile”.

    As for #1 would you please try removing the typo plugin. It did not come with community 1.7 or at the very least “disable” it.
    on one of my sites I’m using the QS and it does NOT have the typo plugin nor is is listed with that template in our roster of included items and while I don’t have the “button” I do have google fonts and such… sorry I’m not giving more concise answers 2nite.

    Thanks, I’d relly like to keep TYPO plugin as it really facilitates adding formatting to the text. especially given that there isn’t solid documentation on the typography styling for this template. Also the fact that it didn’t come with C+ doesn’t mean much IMO since the template’s demo even uses JA extensions which aren’t bundled with it. You have to go and get them from some other template. poor distribution/implementation.

    re:JCE… I disabled the stripping function… no change. try it for yourself.

    I look forward to any insights a good night’s sleep may have brought 🙂

    OK… the JCE issue has been resolved. I updated my JCE from 2.0.12 to 2.0.14 and the stripping ceased 🙂

    Now… the TYPO issue remains. I hope someone can shed some light on it.

    (facepalm) i thought you WERE using .14 *sigh* sorry.. ok so.. please disable the plugin just so we can narrow this down. I understand it “should” work but lets find a good starting ground, and yep.. i’m knocking a few tickets out of the way so I can focus on just this.
