I’d like to change the ja_onepage theme from the ‘default’ to ‘Modern’ on my site, but after setting ‘Modern’ as the default in the template manager I don’t see any changes on my sites front-end.

Where am I going wrong?

Because you have set to “Modern” theme but you have not assigned it to menu yet. I have helped to set the same , see the screenshot

All css and image front-end on your site was changed to “modern” theme.

You can check it again and let me know if it helps
