Hi,
I need to have an image on an article with text around it. Usually simple when the template allows me to have image alignment properly set.
I’m unable to accomplish that, I went to the template.css but couldn’t figure it out
If I set the alignment on the Tiny editor when I save it the article complete ignore the change and places my images with no alignment, as if I never touched the html.
Please let me know if anyone can help.
Thanks
February 18, 2010 at 7:25 am #333004Were you ever able to resolve this issue? I’m having the same problem and no one here at Joomlart seems to know how to answer it.
I posted about this same issue last year and still no cure.
If you were able to figure this out yourself, I’d be very grateful if you’d share your findings as I’m at my wits end on this one.
I’ve never had an issue like this with any other Joomlart template.

February 18, 2010 at 8:25 am #333009Try to turn off the Tiny editor and use No Editor. Tiny is stripping your code. You may also try to go to Plug ins, find Editor-TinyMCE, open it and set “Code cleanup on startup” to “OFF”, an “Code cleanup on save” to “NEVER”.
February 18, 2010 at 8:39 am #333010Thank you. We did try this. In fact, we tried about 4 different editors and no editors all with the same result. The issue was with the template css file. I was able to make a modification that another member had posted that fixed it. Appreciate the speedy reply!

February 18, 2010 at 8:39 am #333011Please post a link to the site you are having problems. Many JA templates use template overrides and Ruby is no exception. If you try and layout an article on the frontpage then quite often the override attempts to layout the article in the way the template designers have chosen. It is easy to turn off these overrides which may be what you need to do to get the layout you desire.

February 18, 2010 at 8:43 am #333013If I get this problem sometime in the future, how do I turn off the override?

February 18, 2010 at 8:53 am #333014In the template folder templates>ja_ruby> you will find a folder called html. In there you will find a number of folders. Just rename the folder that is causing the problem. For instance, if you do not want the override on the frontpage then rename the frontpage folder.
These overrides are meant to make life easire and keep a simple layout. Most users take advantage of this. They do all sorts of things like resize the image and apply nice styling. If you know a little coding you can adjust these to your needs. Some people just want to use the Joomla default layout so they are easy to switch off.
