Hi there

Ja Simply quickstart works fine ( we tested it a lot of times ) usually such issue arise when downloaded and extracted files procedure doesn’t complete correctly – so try to download and extract again quickstart files

I will try again and thank you for a very prompt reply.

I only downloaded the quickstart file. I uploaded it directly from root directory as a zip and extracted it to the root directory. I will try again for the third time.

I thought I had solved the problem. Softaculous still showed a wordpress installation on the domain I am using. It didn’t show in cPanel’s File Manager. I removed it and started fresh again. I downloaded Simply quickstart to a new location. Uploaded via cPanel/File manager, extracted files….and again, no success.

I uninstalled everything again and had Softaculous install Joomla 3. Success.
I then uploaded Simpli template. Success. (Of course the site looks nothing like I want it’s not like the demo.)

I will try an FTP upload using Fzilla or some such software. I’m at a loss. It still will not proceed to the next stage (database). All permissions are correctly set.

When all else fails, restart PC.
It worked!
