June 8, 2011 at 8:39 pm #164995Hi there community
I have a little problem. I just created a webseite using joomla 1.6.3 with the t2 framework 2.0. Everything went smooth and as I’m used to but today I wanted to change the font of the menu in the profile section of the backend. When I clicked the “Save” button, nothing happend. I tried to reinstall the T3 Plugin which didn’t help either.
I have no Idea what happend. I would be really glad if someone could help me.Thanks,

June 9, 2011 at 1:42 pm #395516I have the same issue. The change on the backend does not reflect on the front end. Do I have to install anything other than quickstart ?

June 9, 2011 at 5:46 pm #395568Please check that the files in the templates folder are writable by the script. Particularly the core and local folders in the templates directory as this is where the settings are held.

June 9, 2011 at 5:50 pm #395570How do I check that. And what permissions do I need to give them?
Can the system change those permissions? I didn’t change them.

June 9, 2011 at 5:54 pm #395572You change them with your ftp app. The permissions are on an ownership level so it all depends on how the server is setup. Try chmod 755 and if that does not work your host will be the best people to advise on the best settings on their particular setup.

June 9, 2011 at 7:30 pm #395589I found the error. I had a similar problem before. A component calles proforms has a DEFAULT value in the language files which changes the name of the default profile in the T3 template. And if this name is changed, T3 can’t save anymore. I deleted the value out of the language file and now it workes again

June 9, 2011 at 7:57 pm #395594If you are using proforms you should find under:
<yourjoomlafolder>/administrator/language/<yourlanguagecode>.com_proforms.ini and .com_proforms.sys.ini.
In those 2 files there is an entry which looks like that: (in english)DEFAULT=”Listing of all categorys”
In both files delete this entry.

June 9, 2011 at 8:02 pm #395596Ah, that old chessnut. I will flag this up to the developers as I have now seen a couple of components that use “Default” in that way. Maybe it would be a good move to rename the default to JA_Default to avoid conflicts such as this.
