In ja ext mgr it gets stuck and in Joomla when I try to install over it, it sais FAILED TO COPY.

Can I simply FTP to my server, delete old folder for it and upload the new one? Or is there settings in mysql + files in other folders that need to be updated as well?

I see folders for these 2 modules in the templates/html/ and templates/core/themes/defailt-rtl/html folder as well.

    Thanks

    Hi,
You can try to upload the new version exactly the same way as installing a new module in Joomla.

P.S. Always make a backup before upgrades it’s the best method! 🙂

It gives failed to copy error that way. Can I just ftp transfer it? if so do I need to modify any other locations/files or just upload to modules folder?

    thanks

That means that you have some kind of permissions error!
Please check if all the Joomla (needed) folders are writable from Joomla System Info tab.

No its just these 2 modules, I updated all the other ja modules without a problem thru the ja ext manager.
The only unwritable file is configuration.php
