August 25, 2008 at 8:19 pm #132601Hello,
I made a fresh install of Ja_Kulanite for Joomla 1.0.15 to replicate the error which I am getting here:
http://business.stonybrookcob.com/index.php?option=com_billets&Itemid=101
What brought this error:
1. Installed Billets component for online support
2. Then I got the following error:
Fatal error: Class ‘JParameter’ not found in /xxxxxxwwwtemplatesja_kulaniteja_menusBase.cl ass.php on line 28
3. Applied the fix shown here:
http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/fatal-error-class-jparameter-not-found/
4. and in result got the error above and completely messed up template layout.I would appreciate your advice on what would the problem be… Thanks a lot!

August 25, 2008 at 9:50 pm #267204I’m guessing, without access to the site I cannot tell much
if it was fine before you installed billets, then its billets.
there used to be warnings within joomla about installing 3rd party components.
did you install the template using the quickstart
did you connect to the old database (if so, it just transferred the previous issue to the new install)
it looks like your on a windows server, joomla is for linux server and works best on linux.
I don’t know, but that fix may have been for 1.5.x, not 1.0.15interesting that there is an extra space in the URL between cl and ass

August 25, 2008 at 10:34 pm #267220Thanks for the response.
– I am hosted on a Linux server.
– Yes, this is a trusted provider and I am their customer, their tool works without problems on my other sites with different templates.
– What previous issue on what new install? I am confused.
– The fix should work for Joomla 1.0.15 (anyways, it’s a jscript file and it’s the same for the two versions, they only add or un-comment what’s not needed for the other verison, I presume)
– Yes, I saw that space and checked – nothing there. All in all sorry, but your input hadn’t helped me much:confused:.
Thank you for your time though. It’s nice to know there’s support out there.Sherlock FriendSherlock

August 26, 2008 at 2:23 pm #267396No, I did apply your fix in here:http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/fatal-error-class-jparameter-not-found/
But now, I am getting the following error:
Notice: Undefined index: path in /home/stonyb5/public_html/business/templates/ja_kulanite/ja_templatetools_1.0x.php on line 225
And my template is all messed up. I did try the tool with other templates and it really works fine. So the support at Billets told me it’s a template issue. Any ideas? Thank you sooooo much!!!!

August 27, 2008 at 3:17 pm #267577I did delete the above install.
Then I fresh-installed the Ja_Kulanite Quick Start with Joomla 1.5.6. What I did was only swap the Ja_Kulanite 1.0.15 template.css with the one for Ja_Kulanite for Joomla 1.5.6. and everything seemed to be fine.
Then, when I tested the template with IE6, I tried to login and log out – I could not log out. It was impossible at all to log out. So I had to delete everything again.
I then fresh installed Joomla 1.5.6 and deparately Ja_Kulanite – the log out issue was gone.
Anyways, now I am using Ja_Purity and everything seems to work fine. Ja_Kulanite is really cool, but may be I couldn’t get how to use it issue-free. Thanks for your patience
