Hi I am new to joomlaart templates and joomla.

I am having some difficulty understanding how to make my content items and my mainmenus items display the content the same as the demo content does.

e,g the “layout” or “navigation” sample menu item, shows ja_news at the top,left ,right modules
etc..

I add my own mainmenu items, sub menu items and then add a content article.
The article displays fine, but there are no modules at all no left, right nothing, just my article text full screen.

So how can I apply the different layouts from the ja_iris to my content ? I feel I am missing something simple. But can find nothing in faq or any help manual.

Hi Jonstock

To start with it may seems quite scary…but after an hour playing about you will be laughing about these early problems.

Find your modules…get the Main Menu and maybe the Log-in aswell.
Now set these to the position LEFT
Now publish then to the content article you have just made.

Try some others and mess about setting them to different sides of your page Left Right user1 user2 and so on.

You will very quickly get the hang of it.
