    Just curious MFCPhil,

What was the final result of the old beaten pony Poll? But, frankly, if it gives the pony some vigor, I would not mind riding the pony again.

I also agree that one GOOD template with good documentation and support is the way to go.

The part that I find disturbing is that the developers really don’t seem to care too much about what the paying members say. It should be obvious by their lack of input in these threads.

I know that with the trend of bugs, boring templates, and lack of support in the forums (from developers, not members) I’ll be letting my subscription expire.

That being said, following behind me will be someone else that signs up because they think they will get quality templates. Maybe they’ll stay, maybe they’ll go but I don’t see any trend by the developers to make an effort to keep existing clients.

I think I’m missing something here. Having taken a long look at a number of custom development options and a number of template site options I looked at JA’s portfolio.

From what I saw they had a template that I could use immediately. After looking a bit further I found they have multiple templates I could use.

Every month I see a new design, some looking extremely professional and generating some big interest among some professional service companies in the market for a new look (I just brought in a real estate client based solely on JA’s templates). At the same time I also see some fun web 2.0 site that can be used for community based sites.

My question is this: what are you expecting each month? A template catered to your unique preferences and style? I hope that I’m not the first to tell you this but, that’s called ‘custom design’

If you want to use a template, learn how to modify it or hire someone who can. To be posting in this forum you obviously decided that JA is good enough to pay the membership, at what point did you start thinking that JA would cater their monthly templates to your unique perspective?

There are plenty of members here. Plenty of satisfied ones to who download the templates and use them. They’re not posting month in and month out because they paid for access to templates and are happy with what they paid for.

To be fair I may be missing something here. In short, why are you posting complaints about a portfolio that you had a chance to review before you paid a cent?

well, since this topic split into two, I will give my 2c about each of them.

    1. I do like JA Kulanite, it is cnet.com inspired and seriously – it appears to me that you are comparing instock to kulanite because they both show stock photos of cameras. Instock is a shopping cart template and a nice one at that and the two are not identical as some seem to say.

    2. I agree with that JA basically create the demos and then just ignore any issues and continously keep saying that they are changing things when clearly they are not – support is non-existant from the developers.

Regarding the two vs one template per month – sure, switch to one template per month but double peoples time to match the number of templates paid for. ie. if you have 3 months left in June (expire september) then going single template per month would push your license date up to December.

People keep bringing up the lack of support and all the moderators jump on them because unlike the developers they do try to help, so when I say lack of support I mean developer support – the people behind the scene and the ones actually getting fat and rich off of us.

Nothing is changing and they keep getting fatter and basically the only way to get them to do something about their lack of interest is to stop renewing and to educate others not to waste their money.

Shackbase do you mind if I ask you a question?

Do you have a five year or just a one year membership?

I have a single license and it is about to expire.

So after this its pretty safe to assume you will not be renewing your membership.

    #256692

That is absolutely a strong assumption – there are many other reasons why I would renew that has nothing to do with my lack of satisfaction about the dev team.

    Why? whats it to you?

I simply assumed that because you are doing a lot of Anti-JoomlArt posts today and suggesting that people Stop filling JoomlArts pockets…I simply assumed that you would be practising what you are preaching by not renewing.

Don’t think after reading all your posts today that my assumptions are very strong at all 🙂

    shackbase Friend
    #256754

again – there are many different reasons why I should renew if I choose to – of course I still have some time left for that.

but uhm… You think I am wrong in wanting what I am paying for?

Is there anything in particular that you disagree in my reasoning from my posts today?

I can summon them up for you if you need me to do that and then you can tell me which one or ones you disagree with. Would that work for you mfcphil? Let me know.

Where did I state that I disagreed with any of your posts?

I am asking if you think that I, or any other members, should not renew our membership, as it is your idea are you going to lead the way?

Or are you going to ask us to take your advice and let us leave alone.
