Hey Ninja,
I installed the University template with quick start package, but University template can’t reach my expectation. Now I have two questions:
1. How can I make changes if I want to use some module in Biz Template?
2. How can I make changes if I want to change the whole style to Biz template?
Thanks for your patience and help!

May 7, 2014 at 6:44 am #533945Hi there,
Excuse me, but what JoomlArt template would you like us to help you with: JA University or JA Biz?
Regards,
Alex
May 7, 2014 at 2:16 pm #534008I installed University, and if I can use the module from Biz, that would be great! (I already installed Biz from the back end.)
I used to use Yootheme’s template, which is really easy to make changes, but couldn’t figure it out here.
Thanks for help!

Which module from JA Biz are you wanting to use within JA University?

</blockquote>If you want to use the JA Biz template, you are going to have to install the JA Biz template and try to transpose the database tables relative to content items from your JA University based site to your JA Biz based site.
How far along are/were you with your JA University based site before you started thinking you want to switch over to JA Biz?

1. If you see the attachment above, I hope to use the modules that I selected with black circle. Oh… maybe I should install Biz template, and replace the slideshow with the one from University. Is that possible?
2. I want to change the sidebar on Biz template from left to Right. And at the position4-6 and the “Responsive Joomla” place, I want to show some blog articles, etc.

I just installed it for a little while, haven’t finished much yet. Maybe I can share with you about the functions I want to have, and you can give me some suggestions:
This is all for the home page:
1. I want a slide show, the one from Biz is too big, I want the size from University. If it can be changed, I may just throw University away and choose Biz.
2. I want the screen to be split into two parts. The left side take 2/3 of the width and right side take 1/3.
a. on the left side, I need a “Recent Events” module to show people what we did recently through photos with captions.
b. On the right side, I need a small module which take up 1/3 of the width will match on the right to the “Recent Event”
c. Beneath the “Recent Events” module I want a “Blog articles” module which can show 3-5 blogs with photo and “Read more..”
d. Beneath the right side next to the “Blog articles”, there will be some other small modules like the one under 2b.That’s it. Biz Template or University Template has the rest of the footer, etc.
What’s your recommendation?
This is the very first time I try JA T3 framework, so I really appreciate your help here!Blessings,

May 7, 2014 at 7:56 pm #534050If you like MORE features on the JA Biz template, then my recommendation would be to use JA Biz as your base template for your site, and then try to reproduce, say, the footer of JA University if you like it better. That kind of thing would be MUCH easier then trying to blend the core module layouts of two distinctively different templates.
Make Sense?
May 7, 2014 at 7:59 pm #534051Yeah, it definitely make sense. So maybe I will try Biz first, and if I don’t know how, then come here to ask you guys again?
