July 10, 2008 at 3:35 am #130670I have updated the JA Purity template from 1.1.3 to 1.2.0 and my mainmenu (JA Suckerfish) seems to have lost its connection to the style.css in the ja_puritystylesheaderblue folder. I had completely uninstalled v1.1.3 before installing v1.2.0 and then assigned the Blue style to the header in the standard options under Module ManagerJA_Purity.
I don’t know if it is by design, but it seems that the Header style is no longer a part of the menu style. In the current 1.2.0 version, the sub-menus are black (transparent), the havesubchild bullet2.gif doesn’t show up (no matter what color it is) and the sub-menu active highlights are highlighted all the way through to the parent item. There is also no support for menu separators but I believe I read somewhere that the reason for this is cross-browser compatabilty so it’s probably just a fix.
Anyway, I have tried (without much success) to modify the ja-sosdmenu.css but am unable to get the havesubchild .gif to show up or to get the active highlighting back to working properly as it did so beautifully in the previous version. I have replaced my ja-sosdmenu.css with the original from the 1.2.0 release so I am back to a “stock” install of the template. I have had this problem using the Joomla v1.5.3 and v1.5.4 release has made no difference (as it contains the same JA Purity 1.2.0). Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Local setup:
XAMPP 1.6.6a
Joomla 1.5.4
VirtueMart 1.1.1Included settings snapshots:

July 14, 2008 at 6:07 am #259598Ok, really I just want to do this properly. Has all the #ja-cssmenu entrys in the style.css in either the blue or green header folders been bypassed on purpose and all styling needs to be done through the ja-sosdmenu.css only -OR- do I have a problem with linking to the header folder files?

July 18, 2008 at 5:42 am #260623I guess I’ll just go ahead and respond to my own thread AGAIN. I hear tell that there IS actually a problem and that there is a fix for it. Unfortunately, you’ll need to go to another forum to read about it as according to this JoomlArt forum there is no problem.
