I am not sure whether I should select {Yes} for “Require Help From Staff”. Everything seems to work up to a point.

I noticed that updates are available for the JA ZITE template. I used the JoomlArt Extensions Manager to update itself, and that worked fine. I updated it 3 levels. Now I am looking at what needs to be updated for the template and its extensions. I watched your demo videos on updating and I think I am getting the idea on how it all works.

Anyway, I looked at the template itself and see it has two upgrades to be done. As the videos show, I tried to look at the compare for the first upgrade to check my modifications. When I try the diff, I get this error:

Response from JoomlArt Updater Service: Your account does not have enough permission to take this action. Please contact “JoomlArt Updater Service” for more information or use another account.

Am I not permitted to do updates? If so, these updates should not appear for me.

    Hi dfgrbac,

Can you check out your JAEM settings again with seeing our JAEM guide below ?
    http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/Admin_Panel#Service_settings
    http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/How-to
Because your JATC paid account has full permissions to update/download our JA extensions, except non-JATC ones.

    * If you still face this issue, would you mind sending me a PM with your admin for fixing this issue ?

    Regards,

    Leo

Thanks for your reply, Leo. I am sorry for my delay in responding; I thought I would get an email alerting me of a response.

The problem was that I didn’t enter my password into the “Services Information” dialog. I did and all started working. Frankly, I was confused by the JAEM video which made it appear that I had to use the compare function and move changed lines marked M (Modified by user). The demo explained that I should upgrade, and then rollback to be able to restore the modifications in the new files.

It turned out that the upgrades did not change any of the displays for the template, even the modified logo, slideshow, and masshead stayed the same. I can’t say I understand that, but all appears to be well, and all upgrades are complete.
