    Hello all,

i got some questions about the development:

    1. Is there any Bugtracker / Featuretracker to see whats going to be fixed or implented?
I had some suggestions which are necessary and now want to know how far the development is with this enterprise component.

    2. What are your scheduled times to roll out new updates fo this component?
As i remember weekly updates from support, but there havent been updates since some days.

    3. Where do i see that there is a new update?

    Thank you!
    Nickel

    Hi algmed,

I am not sure when the update will be released, but i can assure you that updates are in progress and there are many commits in the SVN. Once confirmed JA shall release the update.

    regards

    Arvind

    This is not good enough.

This is termed an “enterprise product” by joomlart, and as such it requires that its support be classed that way. A roadmap for issues needs to be published and so also a development roadmap. If you want people to take it seriously than you as Joomlart need to improve on the visibility of the product’s future

    Thanks

Arvind thanks for your help, could you let us know what ballpark time scale the update is likely to be, soon as in 6 months or soon as in 1 month. Just a rough time scale

Even 1 month is far too long. An enterprise products must be well supported when it has some bug or missing features since it was released. Thats why it is called Enterprise product. Owner of this component should expect the best support and fast releases as it is a single product which cost some $.
At least a good communication from support at here would be great.
It support needs my help on how to improve it and what else to add to make the best ou of it, just let me know!

And the main thing is, make an easy update solution. I guess not everyone is able to uninstall, install and do the customization again. I have also made some custom thing, but i stopped working on my site as im waiting for the new update. And i cant release my site with these open things.

Hopefully there will be very soon some light in this case 😉

    Hi
The Job Board team has committed more then 100 commits during the past 3 weeks and we are almost ready for the release of new version. I am still monitoring the daily builds from the SVN. I will also provide detailed change logs & upgrade instruction so your data will be safe.

If everything are all fine then you can get the new version at the end of next week after we are back from Joomla Day in Bangkok

    Cheers

All good and well, but the other concern here is that there is no transparency of the updates. The requests made here are that you properly list and the current bug-list and release schedule. Afterall, you chose to call this an Enterpise product, we expect it to be handled like that.

Another thing, a so-called Enterprise product does require to be uninstalled and totally re-configured when it needs to be updated. This is entirely unacceptable.

This is great product, but the way you’re handling its support is disappointing:((

    Thanks
