Hello,

I am currently using JA Wall 1.0.6 on Joomla 2.5
I attempted to update the template and the social feed plugin and got this error: (see attached screenshot)

* Unknown Archive type
* Update path does not exist
* JInstaller: :Install: Cannot find XML setup file
* Unable to detect manifest file

Please help me understand what I need to do to update files.
Thank you
kevin

Hi kevin,

Please note before updating to JA Wall 1.0.7
1. If you have made change to your template, I would not recommend.
2. If you have made small change, just remember those change. Then re-apply it after update

You should use JA Extension Manager instead of Joomla Extension Manager for updating JA Extensions.
And if you want to use JA Extension Manager, please re-Install not Update

Thank you WC. That was good information.

How do I get permissions to use the Updater Service:
Response from JoomlArt Updater Service: Your account does not have enough permission to take this action. Please contact “JoomlArt Updater Service” for more information or use another account.

Hi kdbates,

Please take a look at this document.
http://wiki.joomlart.com/wiki/JA_Extensions_Manager/Admin_Panel#Service_settings

You should enter username/password of your Joomlart account there.

And if you want to use JA Extension Manager, please re-Install not Update

This is a mistake, If you use Extension Manager (Joomla default), then you can just install overwrite it.

This has been hanging forever – what could be the problem?

Hi kdbates,

It’s because of file permission. We have solved it. Please check again.

Regards
